Charlie Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that he does not rule out further strikes against Hamas leaders, wherever they are located.
At a press conference in Jerusalem with visiting US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Netanyahu stated that every nation has the right to defend itself beyond its borders. Asked whether the US participated in Israel’s attack on the Qatari capital of Doha, Netanyahu reiterated that the action was Israel’s sole decision.
Rubio stressed that the only way to end the Gaza war is for Hamas to release all hostages and surrender. He said that while the US hopes for a diplomatic end to the war, it must be prepared for the possibility that this goal cannot be achieved. He also reiterated Washington’s strong relations with its Gulf allies.
Rubio will travel to Qatar today for a visit. The US State Department said Rubio will reiterate US support for Qatar’s security and sovereignty.
